“The concentration operation in question consists of the acquisition, by Griner Engenharia, SA (Griner), of exclusive control over Sociedade de Empreitadas e Trabalhos Hidráulicos, SA (SETH)”, states the ARC notice, published today.

The operation involves Griner, a company incorporated under the law of the Republic of Angola, operating in the field of civil construction and public works in Angola, Cape Verde, Ghana and Portugal and controlled by Griner SGPS, SA, indicates ARC.

The objective is to acquire SETH, a company governed by Portuguese law dedicated to the construction of buildings and infrastructures in the sectors of maritime and port works, geotechnical engineering and foundations, and energy transport and distribution.

“In Mozambique, SETH is dedicated to the execution of energy transport and distribution projects, mainly medium and high voltage”, explains ARC.

SETH is currently controlled by MT Højgaard International A/S, with 60 percent of the share capital, with the remainder held by Approachdetail-SGPS, SA.

The process of acquiring SETH by Griner is under public consultation by ARC, as it is a concentration of companies, for 15 days starting this Monday.

No values for this business are mentioned in the ARC notice.
