This atlas, according to a note from the Government of Lunda Sul, to which VerAngola had access, is of a technical scientific nature and will serve "to support the study and analysis of various miners existing underground, as well as presenting advanced research on crystallomorphology, mining and distribution in kimberlites".

The 'quartet' of authors comprises three Angolans and one Russian. Thus, Ganga Júnior joins Benedito Paulo Manuel, João Tunga Félix and Zincheco Vladimir.

The note also mentions that the atlas comprises more than 100 pages that "reflect various themes on mining activity".

Speaking on the occasion, Ganga Júnior, quoted in the note, indicated that the work "results from a practical activity of exploration of diamonds in Angola, being a resource that contributes significantly to the development of the country".

The Deputy Governor for the Technical and Infrastructure sector, Cláudio Pemessa, representing Governor Daniel Neto, considered this work "as a scientific collection, which will streamline the research and classification of miners exploited in the region".

The launch took place in the auditorium of the Escola Superior Politécnico Lueja Akonde, in a ceremony witnessed by researchers, academics, members of the Provincial Government, and staff from the diamond sector.

According to Angop, the work is being sold at 5000 kwanzas, with 800 copies available.
