According to Rádio Nacional de Angola, the project has an investment of over 800 million dollars and will create 5000 jobs.
In terms of production, it is pointed to a production of more than 200 tons of pig iron per day.
"Our unit today is expected to produce 250 tons of iron guz per day", informed the general director of production at Companhia Siderúrgica do Cuchi, Wilton dos Reis, quoted by RNA.
He also added that currently, pig iron is no longer considered a material that deteriorates the environment: "Guza iron today is no longer a material that greatly deteriorates the environment, the production process today is self-sustainable".
Destined for export to Europe, Asia and America, the raw material of pig iron will strengthen the tool production industry for the manufacture of cars, boats, planes, oil and gas exploration rigs and civil construction and public works, advances the RNA.
