Built in 1915, Lobito Lighthouse is located at the top of the cliffs on the east side of the entrance to Lobito harbor and bay, Benguela province.
The lighthouse, which helps navigation, is a cylindrical tower that is close to a lighthouse keeper's house.
The infrastructure lost its lantern in 1999, and an outdoor pole was built a few meters from the lighthouse.
Between 2004 and 2007 the lighthouse was the target of restoration works.
