After the delivery of the letters, which enables the ambassadors to represent their respective countries at the Angolan State, the ambassadors met separately for ten minutes with João Lourenço.

At the end of the meeting with the President, Oupa Monarfeng, the new South African Ambassador, said that his work will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Angola and his country.

Cited by Angop, the ambassador considered that it is still necessary to strengthen the African Union, considering that it is an "important platform for the development of Angola and South Africa".

The ambassador of Japan revealed that his mission will aim to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the sectors of health, agriculture, education and information technology.

Daniel Vosgien admitted that relations between Angola and France are "excellent", leaving the promise that he will continue to strengthen the areas of security and peace at regional level.

"Angola's relations with Brazil are centennial and rich. The contacts are fluid and permanent. At no time are consular issues able to affect our agenda," said the new Brazilian Ambassador, Rafael Vidal.

The ambassador also stressed that the problems between the Brazilian and Angolan leaders of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God have not and will not affect the relations between Brazil and Angola.

The Apostolic Nuncio, Monsignor Giovanni Gaspari, spoke with João Lourenço about the Framework Agreement - established last year between the Holy See and Angola - among other matters of interest to both parties.
