Covid-19: country registered 75 new cases and 109 recovered in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, the country has registered 75 new cases of covid-19, three deaths and 109 people who have recovered from the disease, health authorities announced this Wednesday.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, of the 75 new cases, 44 are men and 31 women, aged between three months and 72 years.

Of the new cases, 42 were registered in Luanda, 16 in Zaire, six in Huambo, two in Bié and two in Uíge. In Lunda Sul, Kwanza Norte, Kwanza Sul, Bengo, and Benguela, one case was registered in each province.

The deaths concern three Angolans and occurred in Zaire.

The country thus adds up to a total of 15,804 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, which resulted in 358 deaths and 8579 recovered.

Data from health authorities reveal that out of 6867 cases that are receiving treatment, five are in critical condition, six in severe condition, 90 in moderate condition, 131 present mild symptoms and 6635 are asymptomatic.

In the last 24 hours 2177 samples were analyzed, of which 75 were positive, corresponding to a positivity rate of 3.0 percent.
