According to Baudílio Vaz, Benfica's district administrator, the initiative, which is authored by the Talatona Administration and has the help of the company "Kimbo Verde", aims to improve the environment, making the municipality healthier for the residents.
The responsible also indicated that the trees, of the Quaresmeira type, will be planted along the main road of Benfica, helping to purify the air and beautify the area.
In a publication on his Facebook, the administration of the urban district of Benfica, explained that in this first phase, which runs until Thursday, December 31, the campaign will only cover the Benfica District, and "other areas will follow later.
The launch of the campaign was attended by the assistant administrator of the Talatona municipality, members of the district administration, members of the National Police, firemen, representatives of the residents' commissions and the population in general.
