Mupa National Park

:

Mupa National Park was declared a reserve in 1938 to protect a giraffe subspecies, namely Giraffa Camelopardalis angolensis. Twenty-six years later, in 1964, the reserve became the National Park category.

The park is located in the province of Cunene and covers an area of ​​6600 square kilometers. Here you can find various animals, including giraffes, hyenas, leopards, lions, elephants, zebras, among others.

In addition, about 18,000 people live in Mupa National Park, that mainly engaged in cattle breeding and agriculture.
