Covid-19: country with 1688 new cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours

The country registered 1688 new cases, four deaths and 78 recoveries in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Wednesday.

The largest number of cases was found in the province of Luanda (1123), followed by Benguela (151), Cabinda (76), Huíla (73), Huambo (69), Zaire (58), Cunene (42), Malanje ( 27), Lunda Norte (14), Uíge (14), Lunda Sul (13), Bié (12), Namibe (12) and Cuando Cubango (4).

According to the bulletin, the cases registered in patients aged between four months and 83 years, with 1044 males and 644 females.

In the last 24 hours, there were also four deaths, one man and three women, in Luanda.

78 recoveries were also reported, of which 76 were in Luanda and two in Bié.

Laboratories processed 4920 samples by RT-PCR in the last 24 hours with a daily positivity rate of 34.3 percent.

With the most recent data, the country has a total of 78,475 cases, of which 12,591 are active, 1760 deaths and 64,124 recovered.
