4 de Fevereiro Airport will start to be supplied by pipeline as early as next week

It is next Monday, December 20, that Sonangol inaugurates its “Pipeline Project”, a Jet A1 fuel pipeline that connects the Boavista 5 fuel installations to the Cargo Terminal at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, in Luanda.

:

For this purpose, the oil company installed a pipeline with approximately five kilometers in length, which will allow the fuel to be transported with greater safety and efficiency to the airport.

The Pipeline construction project is part of one of the "great achievements" of Sonangol's Distribution and Commercialization Business Unit (UNDC), says Angop.

This fuel transport line has already been under conventional experimental pressure in the past few months, Sonangol said in September.

Through this initiative, the oil company expects to record financial savings, in particular due to the discontinuity and wear and tear of aero-supply vehicles, which travel the distance from the shipping point to the product's delivery point.

Known as Jet A1, this is a specific fuel for fueling aircraft, being a product produced by Sonangol in a self-sufficient manner.
