Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the official said that "the new law is a legal instrument that brings a more structured platform" to be able to "work towards the fulfillment of objectives associated with local content, which is, in the end, increasingly more local participation in the oil and gas sector".
"This includes, on the national business side, companies, and on the human resources side, of course, there is the workforce. Therefore, at this moment we have already implemented a process for registering and certifying companies to provide services in the sector, so in this way We already have here the platform built to increase the participation of national companies in the sector", he said, adding that "with the increase in the participation of companies and the increase in the volume of activity in the sector, we will naturally have a growth in the way of working in the sector as well, is the perspective".
The responsible also took the opportunity to talk about the workshop on local content, which will take place this Friday, December 17.
"We will bring visibility to the work that has been done to implement the initial instruments that put local content in motion and at the same time we will also give visibility to some activities that are planned to continue implementing this law and local content in the country", he explained.
In addition, the event will also focus on "bringing visibility to service providers, therefore national companies, about the business opportunities that are available in the sector".
