National currency appreciates and recovers 100 kwanzas for each dollar bill

The national currency is gradually recovering and becoming stronger, showing stability.

In an analysis of the last 12 months, published by Jornal de Angola, the kwanza registered a decrease in relation to the cost of acquiring the dollar from 640 to the current 540 kwanzas.

According to the National Bank of Angola (BNA), after having fallen to close to 600 kwanzas per dollar between March and April, the national currency rose again in the following months, having stabilized in August and September and recovered value until the end of the period. year.

This appreciation of the kwanza against the dollar means the need for less currency to acquire foreign currency and, consequently, purchase abroad. In practical terms, it is possible to affirm that, since the beginning of the year, the national currency has gained around 100 kwanzas for each one dollar bill.
