Currently, she said, the necessary phases to certify the aforementioned airport are underway with the Airport Management Society (SGA).

ANAC's PCA explained that to complete the certification process it is necessary to complete five steps: "For this process to be completed, there are five phases to be completed, similar to the exercise carried out with the AIAAN", she said, in statements within the scope of a press conference on the start of passenger flights at International Airport Dr. António Agostinho Neto, cited by Angop.

It is worth remembering that, in June of this year, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D'Abreu said that the certification process for Catumbela Airport was at an "advanced stage" and that it would be certified later this year.

When the certification process for Catumbela airport was completed, the country will have three certified international airports, as Catumbela will join the international airports 4 de Fevereiro and Dr. António Agostinho Neto.

It is worth mentioning that this Thursday, International Airport Dr. António Agostinho Neto received certification to operate national and international passenger flights, and passenger flights at this airport are scheduled to begin on Sunday.
