The new space, according to a statement sent to VerAngola, measures more than 185 square meters, as well as having a "frame exhibition area and three clinical offices for carrying out optometry and ophthalmology consultations and diagnostic exams".

With regard to jobs, the new establishment provided 12 new jobs, with hired employees receiving 50 hours of training, according to Arlete Clemente, director of Human Resources.

Highlighting that "the secret to success is people" and that Centrooptico is "constantly committed to valuing and qualifying human resources, through continuous training and increasing their education", the person in charge said that the new employees at the now opened store "received 50 hours of theoretical training at the Academia Centrooptico and one month of practical training in the store, before being integrated into the new team".

Amyn Habib, director of Centrooptico, cited the fact that ten years ago they opened their first store.

"Our first store was opened in 2014, precisely a decade ago. Today, it is with great pride that we mark the opening of the 30th store. Over these 10 years we have made a difference in the optical sector in Angola, where we have the largest network of optics. We were born with the mission of democratizing access to visual and hearing health care for the Angolan population, through the provision of differentiating products and services at competitive prices, and we want to be increasingly closer to customers, continuing to expand our network and contribute to improving the quality of life of communities", he said, quoted in the statement.

The new establishment, whose inauguration ceremony was attended by the municipal administrator of Kilamba Kiaxi, Naulila André, and ambassadors Mell Chaves and Sérgio Rodrigues, is located at Shoprite Palanca, on Avenida Deolinda Rodrigues, Bairro Palanca, in Luanda, and is open from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm, with optometry consultations taking place "every day without the need for prior booking".

More than 500 frames from international brands – such as Cartier, Montblanc, Moschino, Hugo Boss, Lancel, Kaleos, Etnia Barcelona, Polaroid, Carolina Herrera, Polar, etc. – can be found in the store, which also has "brands of exclusive frames on the Angolan market, such as Rosso, Silhouette and Vaiolens and Zeiss ophthalmic lenses, as well as a selection of children's and youth optical brands, such as Nano, Polar, New Balance and Disney, as well as sports and personal protection glasses".

"To celebrate the opening of the store, in the first few weeks, customers benefit from the offer of an optometry consultation when purchasing anti-reflective frames and lenses", the statement also reads.
