'Pérolas' of the handball begin title revalidation with victory at CAN

Angola got off on the right foot in the African Nations Handball Championship (CAN), which takes place in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), by beating Tunisia 35 to 23, in a game counting for the first round of group B of the 26 3rd edition of the African senior women's handball championship.

Although the score was opened by Tunisia, the women's handball team did not lose motivation, having demonstrated, throughout the first half, what they are worth.

When the half-time whistle was heard, the score showed a wide advantage in favor of Angola, who ended the first half of the game winning 18-7.

In the second half, the advantage was maintained, with Angola emerging victorious from the match. Thus, the national team began its journey of revalidating the title in a positive way.

According to Angop, the organization elected Vilma Neganga as the best player on the field.

With this victory, Angola, which has a total of 15 continental titles, was left with two points, occupying for now the first place in the group, also made up of teams from Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Guinea and Tunisia.

The 'Pérolas' return to the scene this Thursday, to face Uganda.
