Speaking to journalists, Isaac dos Anjos promised to work towards making national agriculture the "art of happily getting rich", considering that the country needs to "discuss the concept of food security" in order to "diversify the supply".

At the ceremony this Friday, held in the Salão Nobre of the Presidential Palace, the new Minister of Higher Education, Albano Ferreira, was also sworn in.

As for the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Albano Vicente Ferreira, who replaced Paula Regina de Oliveira, who held the position for only four months, he highlighted the strengthening of the quality of education, public infrastructure and greater rigour in private education as priorities.

In his speech this Friday, the President of the Republic considered that the country "has everything it needs to succeed" in the agricultural sector, but needs better organization and policies that maximize available resources, such as abundant water and arable land.

In the case of higher education, João Lourenço defended the need to change the framework of public higher education institutions throughout the country, asking the new minister to carry out a diagnosis to identify weak points and necessary improvements.
