State Budget goes to vote next Thursday

The proposal for the General State Budget (OGE 2025) will be discussed and approved, in general, at the Plenary meeting of the 3rd Legislative Session of the V Legislature of the National Assembly, scheduled for the 14th of this month.

The decision came from the Conference of Presidents of Parliamentary Groups meeting this Thursday, under the guidance of the 1st Vice-President of the National Assembly, Américo Cuononoca.

The OGE for the 2025 financial year includes estimated revenues of around 34.63 billion kwanzas. The document presents as its main lines of force real GDP growth of 4.14 percent, to be driven by growth in the non-oil sector of 5.15 percent.

For the Plenary on the 28th, parliamentarians will discuss and vote, also in general, on the Law on Designation and Execution of Legal and International Acts, the Ombudsman Law, the General Electricity Law and the General Court Safe Law .

The Plenary will also discuss and vote on three diplomas on international matters, namely the Partnership Agreement between the European Union, its Member States, and the members of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, the Framework Agreement on Establishment of the International Solar Alliance and the Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for people who are blind, visually impaired or have other difficulties accessing printed text.

Likewise, the Draft Resolution approving the request for authorization for the International Double Adoption of the minor Luísa Cecília Tomás will be submitted for discussion and voting.
