TAAG increases regional frequencies in December due to significant demand

TAAG, the national air carrier, will increase flights to Namibia, Republic of Congo, São Tomé and Príncipe and Mozambique, from December 11th, due to the significant growth in demand from these markets, the company announced this Tuesday.

According to TAAG, Windhoek (Namibia) will have daily flights and Ponta Negra (Republic of Congo) will have a second frequency introduced, with flights on Mondays and Fridays.

A second frequency will also be introduced for São Tomé, with flights on Monday and Friday and for Maputo (Mozambique) a fifth frequency will be created, with flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

"These regional destinations have seen significant growth in market demand, with routes, preferred by the corporate segment, leisure destinations and traffic originating from the Portuguese speaking world, the latter in the specific case of the PALOP [Portuguese Speaking Countries]", says TAAG in the statement.

At a domestic level, the national airline highlights that frequencies will be increased to the city of Lubango, province of Huíla, from December 11th, with bi-daily flights on Thursdays, totaling nine weekly frequencies.
