Nova Cimangola created more than 500 jobs in the last two years

In the last two years, more than 500 new workers have joined the staff of Nova Cimangola, which currently has 1170 direct employees.

Of the total, only five percent of workers are not Angolan. In other words, according to Jornal de Angola, 95 percent of employees are Angolan, and are spread across various functions, particularly in decision-making positions.

The numbers were revealed by the company's management, during Industry Week, where the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns, was present.

According to the holder of the Industry and Commerce portfolio, who was speaking at the event, in the last four years, 750 thousand jobs were created by the sector, representing 4.5 percent of Angola's active population, writes Jornal de Angola.

Nova Cimangola – which has two fully functioning manufacturing units in Cacuaco and Sequele, supported by warehouses and logistics centers spread across the country – is dedicated to the production of cement, limestone, mortars, etc.

In addition to the domestic market, the company is also focused on exports, operating in overseas markets, such as Ghana, Cameroon, Togo, Gabon, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire and Brazil, ending up, according to Jornal de Angola, contribute to boosting intra-African trade.
