The Angola Contemporary Dance Company will present, from the 16th to the 19th of November, its 2nd Season of 2023.
The event will take place at the Instituto Guimarães Rosa (former Centro Cultural Brasil-Angola).
The show, called "Programa de Concerto – Uma Viagem pelo Tempo", lasts around an hour and will present a set of small pieces created between 1985 – still at the Dance School – and 2023.
The show will invite the public to discover various dance genres – from Classical to Modern, from Hip Hop to Contemporary, including Traditional – and the technical skills and versatility of its dancers.
The revival of this show, which debuted in May, involves a journey through the history of this historic company, paying homage to its former solo dancers, so that new generations can get to know the stars of national professional dance.
Furthermore, the show – which will be restored with slight changes, which include a new duet performed by two guest dancers – is a celebration of professional dance as a whole and in its universality.
The company was founded in 1991, having been in existence for over 30 years.
