Located in the town of Catofe, municipality of Quibala (Cuanza Sul), this enterprise, which should start operating soon, is intended to transform agricultural products.
The project will create 120 direct jobs, mostly for residents of Quibala, according to its owner, Manuel da Costa, in statements to Jornal de Angola.
Speaking about the degree of physical and monetary execution of the project, the official made it known that this is at 90 percent and also mentioned that the construction of the factory facilities had started.
"The equipment for the assembly of the industry is already in the country, in the Port of Luanda, and will soon be here for its assembly", he said, in an interview with Jornal de Angola.
A masonry warehouse and a substation to treat water will also be part of the project, he said.
According to Jornal de Angola, the implementation of the initiative will allow farmers in the region to alleviate losses due to the inability to sell production to large markets.
In addition, the businessman also took the opportunity to mention that the project will enable the creation of partnerships with entrepreneurs in the region who work in the field of agricultural production, in addition to stimulating and expanding cultivation skills in neighboring provinces, such as Malanje, Bié, Huambo and Benguela, writes the Jornal de Angola.
Manuel da Costa also considered that the project meets the Government's program which aims to boost production regions, designing units to stimulate agribusiness in the interior.
