According to Agnelo Lucamba, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery and traumatology, the operation, performed successfully, lasted about three hours and culminated in the removal of the tumor, weighing about three kilos and of dental origin, which was taken to the pathological anatomy for analysis.

"When I say dental, I mean that it started in the mouth until the teeth causing him to lose a part of the jaw bone", explained the specialist, quoted by Angop.

The doctor also mentioned that, after 72 hours, the adolescent's condition is favorable, requiring moderate monitoring by specialists.

As for the discharge, he said that this will be determined by clinical development and that if everything goes according to plan, the teenager should have the 'green light' to go home within seven to 10 days.

On the future of Brazzavile César, the specialist explained that the teenager will be able to lead a normal life, despite his appearance and deformation, and that cosmetic surgery may be necessary, in a few years, to improve it, writes Angop.

According to Angop, for several years Brazavile César had been struggling with this tumor, which conditioned his life, such as the impossibility of continuing in school. A resident of Benguela province, the teenager even turned to social media to ask for help, where he appears in videos alongside his older sister.

Agnelo Lucamba also took advantage of the occasion to mention that they carry out between 20 and 30 surgeries on tumors per month because of the dissemination of information in the press.
