The group, comprised of specialists in orthopedics, traumatology, pediatrics, nephrology, anatomical pathology, neurology, cardiology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, and endocrinology, will spend one year at the Josina Machel, Cardeal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento, Prenda, Lucrécia Paim Maternity Hospitals, Viana General Hospital, Icolo, and Bengo Hospitals, as well as other selected healthcare facilities.

At the welcoming ceremony, which took place this Thursday in Luanda, Job Monteiro, the national coordinator and technical manager of the National Health System Strengthening Project, emphasized the importance of rigorous training.

"The State is investing in healthcare human capital, and it is our responsibility to respond with professionalism and dedication," he emphasized in a statement seen by VerAngola.

The training program is part of the Unified Health System Strengthening Project, funded by the World Bank, which aims to train 38,000 health professionals by 2028, including doctors, nurses, diagnostic and therapeutic technicians, and hospital support staff.

The Cabinda Training Center, staffed by interns from the province, includes professionals from Luanda, Lunda-Norte, Cuanza-Norte, Cuanza-Sul, Huíla, and Benguela. 372 interns are currently undergoing training. These professionals work at the Cabinda General and Provincial Hospital.
