According to the final communiqué of the meeting, chaired by President João Lourenço, INIPAT's fundamental mission is to investigate accidents and incidents that occur with civil air, maritime and railway transport in Angola, under the jurisdiction of the State or in which it is interested, for security reasons, arising from regional or international commitments, to determine the causes involved and the prevention of similar occurrences.

According to the Secretary of State for Land Transport, Jorge Bengue, this entity will watch over human life, the prevention of economic and human damage that may occur in the event of accidents involving one of these means of transport.

In the education sector, the Council of Ministers approved the Legal Regime for the Evaluation of the Performance of Education Agents, which will establish the rules, procedures and criteria for setting references for the performance evaluation process of these agents, thus promoting the evaluation of the quality of the service provided, encouraging them to self-discipline in carrying out all their daily professional tasks.

Speaking to the press, the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, underlined the need for this instrument "to imprint greater rigor and impartiality" in the assessment of workers' performance.

"The great innovation in this instrument is that, from now on, we will also carry out an assessment of the performance of kindergarten teachers and educational assistants", said the minister.

In the field of energy and water, the Council of Ministers also approved the General Plan for the Development and Use of Water Resources in the Cuanza River Basin and the General Plan for the Integrated Management of Water Resources in the Zambezi River Basin.

These two documents aim to ensure the adequate use of national water resources, guaranteeing sustained economic and social development and the preservation of the environment.
