Government approves incentives to hire unemployed and young people

This Friday, the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers approved a diploma with incentives for hiring unemployed people, young people and citizens with disabilities, among other measures to support the recovery of the economy.

According to a note that Lusa had access to employers who sign employment contracts with unemployed people, young people, people with disabilities and interns will have benefits that translate into a 50 percent reduction or exemption from the contribution rate of their responsibility, as per the in this case, for a period of 6 to 12 months after the beginning of the term of the contract.

The diploma also contains measures to promote the binding of contracted persons to the mandatory social protection system and voluntary settlement of companies' debt to Social Security.

The Economy Commission also approved the balance report of the execution of the national development plan 2018-2022 until the 3rd Quarter of 2021, according to which the goals (349 indicators) were executed by 61.3 percent.

On the same occasion, a diploma was approved that corrupted and defines the general lines of reform of the public business sector, which includes, among other objectives, the resizing of the State's presence and increasing the levels of transparency and quality of financial reporting.
