The awards ceremony kicked off with Adolfo Nsiakalango, who was the first to receive the medal from the hands of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço. The nationalist was recognized in the Independence class.
The ceremony began with a cultural moment, led by several children who sang the National Anthem.
In addition, according to Angop, the public was also treated to national and African folklore songs, performed by the young girl Ariana André.
This third phase of awards will honor a total of 654 figures or groups and will be divided into two days, namely 2 and 3 July.
In this ceremony, the President of the Republic will honor 155 personalities in the Independence class and 499 in the Peace and Development class. The long list of honorees at this ceremony includes names such as As Gingas do Maculusso, Banda Maravilha, N'Sex love, among many others.
The other two stages of decorations took place in April and May, when 944 citizens were decorated.
