Covid-19: Angola registers 42 new infections and two deaths in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 42 new infections were registered in the country, two deaths 153 people recovered from the disease.

New cases were reported in the provinces of Luanda (29), Moxico (6), Cabinda (5) and Uíge (2). According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Health Directorate, released this Thursday, the new infections concern people aged between 1 and 62 years, 25 males and 17 females.

In the same period, two deaths were registered in the provinces of Luanda and Huambo. The deaths concern two men aged 46 and 55 years.

There were also 153 recoveries, of which 151 in Luanda, one in Huila and one in Lunda Norte.

In the same period, the laboratories processed 1,933 samples, with a daily positivity rate of 2.2 percent.

The bulletin also reports that 41 people are hospitalized, 82 are in institutional quarantine and 96 under medical surveillance.

With the most recent data, the country accounts for 64,857 confirmed cases, of which 1849 are active, 1725 deaths and 61,283 recovered.
