Speaking at the end of a visit to verify the immunization campaign taking place at the high-performance post of Paz Flor in Luanda, carried out by the vice president of the World Bank for the Eastern and Southern Region of the African continent, Hafez Ghanem, the secretary of State for Public Health considered that this is "a good initiative considering the cooperation that exists between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank".

Quoted in a note posted on Minsa's Facebook, the official indicated that "some projects are in progress and the purchase of vaccines is part of it".

"We have a project to strengthen the health system, which ranges from training technicians and purchasing some supplies," he added.

The vice president of the World Bank was "impressed with the level of organization and with the number of vaccines administered", indicates the note.

Quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), Hafez Ghanem indicated that "there should be no restrictions from the numerical point of view of financing for Angola".

Without putting forward a specific amount to be made available, the official said that they are already analyzing the possibility of financing and that "the important thing is for us to finance the country so that the country can have its financial health so that it can move forward".

"A very important thing here is that this virus must be eliminated so that people can move forward. Therefore, it is a matter of life and death, and that is why we are here preparing the financial packages for the coming years for Angola", he revealed.

It should be remembered that a World Bank delegation has been carrying out, since this Monday, a three-day visit to Angola to discuss the organization's work and partnerships with the Government.
