The WBC delegation is made up of two vice presidents, specifically the World Bank Regional Vice President for East and Southern Africa, Hafez Ghanem, and the IFC Regional Vice President for Africa, Sérgio Pimenta. These two are also joined by Armando Manuel, as the executive director of the GBM for Angola.

The visit will last for three days, from November 8th to 11th, and according to a note available to Jornal de Angola, it will focus on three main areas: the agenda of reforms and economic diversification strategies, climate change and the adaptation and empowerment of women.

According to Jornal de Angola, during the delegation's stay in Angola, the two vice presidents will meet with government entities, representatives of the private sector, among others.

It should be recalled that recently, the World Bank announced, through a communiqué, the approval of support in the order of US$700 million to Angola, with a view to assisting in the recovery of the economy, taking into account the worsening of the crisis due to the pandemic.
