With a budget of US$182.9 million, the center will have 165 buildings with two and four floors, with eight apartments, and should also house 72 stores and 18 sports courts.

According to the official at Kora Angola, to whom the construction project was handed over, the works – underway since September – are proceeding at an accelerated pace, involving 700 workers, 87 percent of whom are nationals.

To Angop, João Aleixo explained that the project also includes the construction of public social facilities such as a children's centre, kindergarten, health centre, primary and secondary schools, police station, soccer field, leisure areas, among others.

The plan also involves the construction of drinking water supply systems, waste water treatment, electricity supply, public lighting and paved road access.

In this first phase, 484 houses will be completed, of type T3, and in the second phase of the project (scheduled to start at the end of 2022) the construction of 516 houses, shops and social facilities will be scheduled.
