Government to create law to help 1.2 million couples with infertility problems

The Government will create a law to help at least 1.2 million national couples with reproductive problems to find treatment in the country, without the need to go abroad.

:

The matter was discussed this Friday at the meeting of the Commission for Social Policy of the Council of Ministers, chaired by the Minister of State for the Social Area, Carolina Cerqueira, who also analyzed the electoral regulations of sports associations.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary of State for Hospital Management, Leonardo Inocêncio, in statements issued by public radio, said that the Government intends to reinforce what already exists with laws for couples to benefit from this treatment in Angola.

"And since new measures of this nature are going to be implemented, we will have, next year, for example, beacons that guarantee that these procedures are possible," stated the Secretary of State for Health.

Leonardo Inocêncio stressed that the future law will prevent those who are not licensed, public or private, "dare to do procedures that are not allowed".

"It is a problem that exists, we are talking about 1.2 million couples, not a few Angolan citizens are affected by this and, like it or not, in the long run, we win, because we provide stability among families, which is the core of society ", he stressed.
