On Wednesday 18th November, ZAP Viva will highlight the kuduro dance and music style.
From 9:30 pm the documentary "Kuduro: Fire at the Musseke" will be shown. The film, directed by Jorge António, consists of testimonials and demonstrations of this style.
The history of kuduro and the names associated with it will also be highlighted in the documentary.
Kuduro was born in Angola in the early 90's, first as a dance and over time evolved into music. It is considered a kind of African house style in which electronic elements are mixed with traditional folklore.
