Vera Daves, Finance Minister, admitted that some economic indicators are still uncertain due to the impact of covid-19, which caused the fall in oil prices and created instability in the economy.

However, quoted by Angop, the Finance Minister admitted that not everything is bad news and that there is hope for a possible cure for the new coronavirus.

Manuel Nunes Júnior, Minister of Economic Coordination, revealed that the government estimates that the GSB 2021 has, for the fifth consecutive year, a negative growth of 3.3 percent.

He also made it known that the budget for next year will give priority to spending in the social sector, which is around 18.8 percent.

Public investment programs are expected to grow about three percent, he said.

The GSB 2021 proposal is being evaluated this Tuesday, in the first plenary meeting of the 4th legislative session of the National Assembly.
