The governor stressed that "this is a priority that will benefit the entire academic community and will boost the educational development of the province", the statement reads.

The students' message highlighted "the crucial role of higher education in the transformation of Angola", and they called on the Government to "increase investment in infrastructure and laboratory equipment, especially for health courses".

"The teachers reflected on the fundamental role of universities in society and called for the improvement of the quality of education, highlighting the importance of continuous and differentiated training for teachers, as well as the increase in new courses and adequate infrastructures", the statement reads.

The event also included a speech by Professor Pedro Magalhães, Rector of the Agostinho Neto University (UAN), who highlighted the "importance of adapting teaching methods to the different learning styles of students".
