According to the calendar published in the Official Gazette and to which VerAngola had access, the entrance exams for public higher education institutions will be held from 19 to 23 August, while the entrance exams for private higher education institutions will be held from 9 to 13 September.
After that, the first semester classes will start on 30 September. According to the school calendar, the semester will run until 28 February 2025.
The holidays during the festive season (Christmas and New Year) will take place from 23 December to 3 January 2025.
While the regular and resit exams will take place between 27 January and 28 February next year.
There will then be a break between semesters for registrations, publication of lists and timetables for the second semester, which is scheduled to start on 10 March.
This second semester will run until 1 August 2025, with the regular and resit exams taking place between 30 June and 1 August 2025.
The holidays will start on 4 August 2025 and run until 26 September of the same year.
It should also be noted that on 6 August, applications for Chevening scholarships from the UK government opened, which, in the case of Angola, aim to allow young Angolans to study a master's degree in the UK.
