In the 'Best Coach of the Year' category, the nomination goes to Pedro Gonçalves who, according to CAF's announcement, made this Thursday on its official website, will compete for the award with nine other candidates.
Thus, in addition to the national coach, they are also nominated for this category Brama Traore (Burkina Faso); Emerse Fae (Ivory Coast); Sebastien Desabre (Democratic Republic of Congo); José Gomes (Zamalek); Marcel Koller (Al Ahly); Chiquinho Conde (Mozambique); Hugo Broos (South Africa); Florent Ibenge (Al Hilal) and Kwesi Appiah (Sudan).
Angola is also represented in the category of 'Best National Team of the Year' and, according to the CAF note, will compete for this title with teams from Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan and Uganda.
In the 'Best Club of the Year' category, the country is represented by Petro de Luanda, which is part of a list also made up of TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo), Al Ahly (Egypt), Zamalek (Egypt), Dreams FC (Ghana), RS Berkane (Morocco), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Simba (Tanzania), Young Africans (Tanzania) and Esperance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia).
According to CAF, the awards gala will take place on December 16th, in Morocco.
