In statements after the meeting, the Ukrainian leader said that the meeting also served to "address the issue of peace in Ukraine, to thank Angola for its position in relation to the defence of Ukraine's territorial integrity and Angola's efforts to promote peace on the African continent, especially in the context of the Luanda Process", according to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access.
Andrii Sybiha said that they consider it "essential that the two countries continue to work together".
"We consider it essential that the two countries continue to work together. On our part, it is crucial to receive all the necessary support to achieve a fair, comprehensive and lasting peace", said the Ukrainian leader.
In response to the question about the "possibility of a negotiated peace with Russia", the minister "reiterated Ukraine's desire for a fair and lasting solution".
On the occasion, he stressed that the Ukrainian president has already drawn up the Peace Formula, which has ten "points that answer all these questions".
"President Zelensky has already outlined the Peace Formula, consisting of 10 points that answer all these questions. We need a peace that is comprehensive, lasting and fair," he said, quoted in the note.
Andrii Sybiha also said that, after the first International Peace Summit, Ukraine is "organizing a second round of the conference, to which it intends to invite Russia."
He said that they need the support of several countries, including Angola: "In this sense, we need the support of several countries, including Angola."
