According to the official, on average, per year, Angola disburses approximately 2.5 billion dollars to import goods "that the country is capable of producing" locally. "Every year we, on average, spend around 2.5 billion dollars to import goods that the country is able to produce locally. We are talking about cereal production, these are products from the basic food basket, rice, chicken, oil, vegetable fats, soybean oil, palm oil", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

If these 2.5 billion dollars are also added to the textile and clothing industry and the pharmaceutical industry, the value rises to approximately five billion dollars spent annually, he explained.

"Associated with this, I spoke of 2.5 billion dollars" with the "import of these goods, if we add the textile and clothing industry and add the pharmaceutical industry we are talking about around five billion dollars every year that the country spends on importing these products", he added, quoted by RNA.

It should be noted that AIPEX has been active in recent days, with emphasis on the holding of a strategic alignment meeting between AIPEX and diplomatic missions to attract investment and promote exports. Also at the beginning of this week, the AIPEX PCA carried out a working visit to Bengo, aiming to explain the Single Investment Window and its facilities.

In Bengo, the PCA participated in a seminar about the Single Investment Window and its facilities. According to a note from the Provincial Government of Bengo, to which VerAngola had access, still in the province "the AIPEX delegation visited two large-scale private investment projects in the town of Barra do Dande, namely SINO ORD Parque Industrial and ADA (Aceria de Angola)".
