Luanda will receive 90 more buses to improve circulation

Transport in the capital will be reinforced in the coming days with another 90 buses, informed the provincial governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem. These new means are intended to improve urban circulation.

:

The buses will be made available through a public tender aimed at operators, said the governor, who was speaking at the end of a special session of the Council of Ministers that discussed and identified the capital's problems.

"We are going to launch a public tender for the placement of at least 90 buses, at the disposal of operators, in order to improve urban traffic," said Manuel Homem, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

The official also made it known that this action is part of a program under the auspices of the Transport Ministry that will strengthen the provinces with more buses, writes Jornal de Angola.

The governor also spoke about the need to improve secondary and tertiary roads and road traffic in places such as Avenida Fidel de Castro, Estrada Nacional number 100, the Benfica/Barra do Cuanza section, Luanda's second ring road, access to the new Luanda International Airport and the main road to Zango.

In addition to the insufficient number of schools in the capital, the governor also took the opportunity to mention that some work is being carried out to solve the problems of garbage and rain, giving as an example the start of the drainage ditch cleaning program, among other projects, writes Jornal de Angola.
