Filomena Farm aims to produce one million eggs a day next year

Fazenda Filomena intends to reach a daily production of one million eggs next year, as a result of the entry into operation of three new ships.

Speaking to Angop, Ana Maria, the company's manager, explained that production levels currently stand at 700,000 eggs a day, but with the start-up of the new structures, the company will be able to reach a production of around one million eggs per day. day.

The start-up of these new ships – each capable of housing 85,000 chickens – should generate 50 new jobs, in addition to the 450 that already exist.

According to Angop, the structure is currently about 40 percent complete, and they are waiting for the machines to arrive to move forward.

Cited by Angop, the official, who did not reveal the number of machines, also said that the next step would be to carry out tests, as well as training local technicians.

Created in 2015, Fazenda Filomena is located in Caxito, in Bengo, and currently has 16 warehouses, which are divided into 12 for production and four for chick breeding. In terms of animals, the farm has 750,000 chickens and 302,000 chicks.

The farm also has other projects in its portfolio, such as the construction of an animal feed factory capable of producing 500 tons per day (currently 150 tons are produced per day, 90 of which are consumed internally and 60 commercialized), a slaughterhouse (capable of slaughtering one million of chickens daily), among others.

According to Angop, there are still prospects for extending services to the province's six municipalities through the creation of small vendors.
