IGAPE opens tender for the privatization of the Nosso Super supermarket chain

The State Asset Management and Participation Institute (IGAPE) announced this Thursday the opening of a public tender for the privatization of the Nosso Super supermarket chain, for national investors, whose proposals can be delivered until December 15th.

This is the second tender of its kind opened by IGAPE, and the process for the transfer of the right to operate and manage the Kero hypermarkets to the Zahara Comércio Group is still underway and which reverted to the State within the scope of the asset recovery program constituted with public funds.

The Nosso Super network, also managed by Grupo Zahara, has closed several stores in recent months. The supermarket chain integrated in the Program for the Restructuring of the System of Logistics and Distribution of Essential Products to the Population (Presild), launched in 2007, had the objective of modernizing the commercial network and creating new business and employment opportunities and had 32 stores across the country.

The privatization of the chain of stores, open only to national investors, will be carried out through a public tender, in the form of Assignment of the Right to Exploration and Management in a five-year contract, with a purchase option, including 24 stores, located in 15 provinces of the country, eight of which are located in Luanda. Interested parties can submit a proposal for the management of one or more stores, and the submission of proposals for the management of the entire network is not mandatory.
