Kibabo has employed over 1000 citizens since its inception

Since opening in 2012, Kibabo has employed more than 1000 citizens, particularly young people.

:

Pedro Mateus, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the supermarket chain, revealed that, during the nine years that the company has had its doors open, around 1500 young people got their first job at Kibabo.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 19th store, called "Jardins de Talatona", which took place last Friday, the official said that this supermarket had made it possible to employ a total of 350 people.

Cited by Angop, Pedro Mateus explained that some of the newly hired employees are citizens, who competed for the position through the public tender launched by the Luanda Province Government.

He also explained that the company remains committed to marketing 95 percent of products 'made in Angola' in its supermarkets.

He also addressed the group's expansion plan. According to Pedro Mateus, Kibabo expects to open another store this year, and it is estimated that it will reach more than 2000 jobs.
