As an example, the value of 25 kilograms of rice under the brand "Uncle Sam" stands out. According to Jornal de Angola, the price of this product is now 1676 kwanzas less: initially marked as 14,276 kwanzas, rice is now sold at 12,600 kwanzas.
The reduction was also seen in the 10 kg "AA US" brand thigh box. It was previously traded at 12,462 kwanzas, having dropped in recent weeks to 10,750 kwanzas.
In the list of products that saw their prices reduced, there is also vegetable oil of the brand "Brilhante", 12 times 1 liter, which suffered a decrease in the order of 4332 kwanzas. Initially this product was being sold at 18,282 kwanzas, passing now to 13,950 kwanzas.
Added to the list is powdered milk: from the eight-kilogram "Biba" brand, the value went from 71,184 kwanzas to 42 thousand kwanzas, a reduction of around 29,184 kwanzas.
However, the drop in prices was not only registered at Angoalissar's warehouses. According to Jornal de Angola, three other operators also reduced the prices of some products: Star One, Mafcom and Naval General Trading.
At Star One, consumers will find the 10-kilogram thigh box at 13,037 kwanzas, whereas before it was marketed at 15,429 kwanzas.
At Mafcom, 25 kg "Alimo" brand rice dropped from 14,049 kwanzas to 10,802 kwanzas. While Naval General Trading is marketing 25 kg "Garcia" rice at 13,500, 1300 kwanzas less than the previous 14,800 kwanzas.
