According to the director-general of Hospital dos Cajueiros, Daniel Café, the accused is the husband of an employee of the health unit and allegedly intended to kill the woman.
"This is a man whose wife is an employee here at the Hospital dos Cajueiros, he came with the aim of killing his wife, but as he was prevented from entering the hospital by security, he launched the mill from the outside to the inside," Daniel Café explained in statements to public radio.
The director general of the unit said that as a result of the action, which took place on Sunday, two people suffered minor injuries.
"Only two people with slight injuries, were immediately assisted in our surgery bench and were immediately discharged, it didn't cause so much damage here in the hospital", he stressed.
According to witnesses heard by the public broadcaster, the mill had reached the hospital's triage area, having damaged the glass and walls of the place, where few people were present at the time.
