Téte António in New York to participate in UN debate

Teté António, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is in New York, United States of America, to participate in the Ministerial Debate of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN).


The representative of the Permanent Mission of Angola to the UN, ambassador Maria de Jesus Ferreira, received the head of the Foreign Affairs portfolio and the delegation that he is accompanied by.

The debate, which takes place this Wednesday, October 20th, will focus on the situation in the Great Lakes Region, with the central theme "Supporting the renewed commitment of the Great Lakes countries, in search of sustainable solutions to the causes of conflict".

The minister, according to Jornal de Angola, should speak about the current political-military panorama in the Central African Republic.

Remember that last week the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin Touadéra, announced a unilateral ceasefire.
