On Friday, the 18 finalists, chosen from a universe of 890 candidates, will fight for the podium. The top three will win a cash prize: the winner will receive two million kwanzas, while the second and third place will receive one million and 800 thousand kwanzas, respectively.
Sebastião Lino, general coordinator of the preparatory commission for "Top dos Mais Queridos" informed that this year Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) also decided to give a critical prize to a musical work, the result of the jury's vote, writes Angop.
The artist, group or band that win this last award will undergo an evaluation based on the removal of a theme from the album that, despite not having been widely publicized, the jury considered that it has better harmony, melody, arrangements, interpretation and letter.
Voting, made by the public, remains until the 6th of October. Those interested in voting can do so by message or call by Unitel or on the RNA website.
This year's honoree of the "Top dos Mais Queridos" will be the 'Praça'. "As we know, the square is an open space for the circulation of people and goods, with an exhibition of products, their sale and a stage for cultural promotion," explained Sebastião Lino.
