Wilmar Nakeni is the big winner of the 24th edition of the Luanda Song Festival

It was with the song “Cale-se de Mim” that Wilmar Nakeni won the 24th edition of the Luanda Song Festival. In addition, the artist won another award: the award for best voice.

According to Angop, the podium was also joined by Bênção Neves, who won the award for best lyrics with the song "Avenida das Acácias", Glória da Lú which won the LAC Unitel award with "Mãe Diamante Lapidado" and Jowsah which snatched the award for best performer with the song "Brilho".

Prizes were awarded in cash: three million kwanzas were reserved for the winner of the edition, while the author of the best lyrics takes home 800 thousand kwanzas.

The awards for best voice, best interpreter and LAC Unitel are entitled to 500,000 kwanzas each.

The 24th edition of the festival took place last Friday, at Palácio de Ferro. The Enigma Teatro Company was present at the event, which presented the spectators of the event with the musical "O Percurso da Música Angola and its Aesthetic Nuances".
