The 24 year old athlete, formed in the 1st of August, plays in the pivotal position. In a statement published on the Angolan club's website, Albertina Cassoma revealed that the proposal to play in a European club is a great opportunity to shine professionally.
"It was very good for me to receive this proposal, the dream of every athlete is to play in Europe since there the championship is very strong, it is a good stage of opportunity to evolve individually and make a career," she says.
The handball player is waiting for her visa to travel to Romania. As soon as she has it she will leave for Bucharest, joining the CS Rapid team.
In 2018, Albertina Cassoma was elected the most valuable player of the African Nations Championship, which took place in Congo. She also won the IHF Super Globe (a world club) best athlete trophy in 2019.
