According to the public complaint, sent to the office of Hélder Pitta Grós and sent to Lusa this Wednesday, there is a flagrant abuse and systematic violation of the Basic Law of the Education and Teaching System in Angola, at a time when general education classes began on September 2.
The MEA says that during the first month of classes, it has come across an unacceptable and outrageous reality in public schools, which, in its view, deprives students of the minimum existence and delays the future of future generations.
For the movement, free education in the education system "has been barbarously sacrificed", violating the provisions of the law in the sector, due to the lack of school materials, which, despite being prohibited from being sold, are sold on public roads.
In its petition addressed to the PGR, it reports the lack of teaching materials, such as blackboards, chalk, erasers, desks and classrooms that are not in acceptable condition, as well as the lack of public transport for students.
According to the student movement, public schools are in a precarious state of hygiene, constituting a genuine attack on the public health of students and other participants in the teaching and learning process, and they also lack security personnel.
The MEA, which is awaiting a position from the PGR and other institutions involved in the administration of justice in the country, also reiterates that it may move forward with a "peaceful demonstration", scheduled for 5 October in Luanda, in defence of the interests of students.
