Thus, Uíge will be the second province in the country to have a school of this kind, after Luanda.
In statements to the press, quoted in a statement from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication to which VerAngola had access, the minister said that the process is "advanced" and that they will "count on the experience of the Luanda Telecommunications Institute" to create the same quality that an establishment of this kind requires.
"The process is advanced, we will count on the experience of the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL) so that together we can create the same quality that a Telecommunications institute requires", she said.
The Minister of Education, the statement said, expressed her happiness after noting, at FITITEL, "that young students are actually learning about technology and knowing how to make use of what is solving society's problems", and highlighted that the event included "applications that can be used in schools, from pre-school to secondary education".
Luísa Grilo also said that "learning is being linked to knowledge and put to the service of other subsystems".
"That's good, we are associating learning with knowledge and putting it at the service of other subsystems, that is, intercommunication at the various levels of education", she pointed out, quoted in the statement.
On the occasion, the minister also assured "the intention of her department to work with the creators of the projects exhibited at FITITEL, so that they can be used in various schools in the country, similar to what happens in the work of digitalizing the education system and, recently, in the last public competition held in Luanda and Cuanza Norte", supported by an application for "online registration and automatic correction of tests, developed by final year ITEL students".
